Homophobia

This is a response to Bizzle 'Same Love (A Response)' I don't own the rights to this song, lyrics or its content.

In its most general sense, a fair use is any copying of copyrighted material done for a limited and “transformative” purpose, such as to comment upon, criticize, or parody a copyrighted work. Such uses can be done without permission from the copyright owner.

But understand this, that in the last days
There will come times of difficulty
  • How many times have people tried to predict the end of the world? Yes there have been so many of them and they all have been completely and utterly wrong. Secondly, can we please stop with this ‘last days’ crap? I mean Jesus isn’t going to fly down from the sky and there isn’t going to be a rapture. (I wish the rapture did happen so all you arrogant Christians can be taken away to heaven and everyone else can live happily on earth.) Yes there will be times of difficulty but those times are mostly by those who keep throwing their religion down other people’s throats who don’t want to believe your nonsense!

For people will be lovers of self
Lovers of money, proud, arrogant
Abusive, disobedient to their parents
Ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable
Slanderous, without self-control, brutal
Not loving good, treacherous, reckless
Swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God
Having the appearance of godliness
But denying its power
Woe to he who calls evil good and good evil
  • I will basically sum up this verse. People who don’t believe in god or don’t love god are all of these awful things. Slanderous without self-control? The things you’ve said in this verse is pretty slanderous. I mean aren’t you supposed to be a religion of love and tolerance? There is none of that displayed here. It’s all vicious and very insulting not sure I want to worship a god like that.

It's funny how the media portrays things
They really pushing hard for this gay thing
And it's so wicked how they manipulate things
Can't even disagree without them making it a hate thing
I say you wrong, and you holla "hate" instantly
But you say we the ones who don't tolerate differences

·         Okay, there is a difference between being tolerant and being an asshole. You are entitled to your opinion and you can wear that opinion on your sleeve. The moment you try to enforce that opinion onto other people is when it becomes a problem. The sad part about it is that you don’t see this as a problem. You can disagree with someone but that doesn’t give you the right to openly discriminate against them. You are being hateful! The media isn’t pushing a ‘gay agenda’ and you really need to get off your high horse.

There's a whole lot of things I could say really
But, see your hypocrisy is something I could paint vividly
Saying it's the way you was born

·        It’s been proven by science that you are born with your sexual orientation. No one chooses to be ‘gay’ or ‘straight’. Please stop with this notion that you can just at a whim choose who you are attracted to.

And I'm sure, that you lust just like I do, just in a different form
But I'm married, so if I give into mine, I'm a cheater
If you give into yours, you just fight to make it legal
You rather fight God, then fight sin

·         Okay let me get this straight. You are comparing lust to being gay? How in the world did you even come to that conclusion? ‘Lust’ and being attracted to someone are two totally different things. My attraction to other men isn’t lust it’s what I am attracted to physically and sexually. The same can be said about your attraction to women. I don’t understand how or why you have to make it seem like the only way you can feel love or experience love is to believe in god?  If anything your god is the complete opposite of what love is.

The Bible is alright, until it calls what you like sin
And I feel so disrespected that you were so desperate
You would compare your sexual habits to my skin

·         I really don’t understand this one at all. You didn’t choose your skin color and you didn’t choose the ethnicity. Those in the LGBT Community didn’t choose their sexual orientation and yet it’s okay to discriminate against them? That makes so much sense right!

Calling it the new black
Tell me where they do that?
They hung us like tree ornaments, where were you at?
They burned us for entertainment, you go through that?

·         No one is comparing being gay the ‘new black’, unless you look at the amount of hatred that the LGBT Community endures. There are still countries that punish those of the LGBT with the death penalty. If two men walk down the street holding hands they are immediately ridiculed and every bigoted person wants to shame them and tell them to keep that in the privacy of their home. People have been beaten up and killed, some even driven to suicide. It’s not a pretty picture either way but this endless hatred towards a community that wants to live their lives like everyone else has to stop!

Mom's raped in front of they kids, while they shoot dad
Ever been murdered just for trying to learn how to read bro?
Show of hands?
I ain't think so

·         How about in the bible where people who were gay were stoned to death? How about the countless of people who have been ridiculed and driven to the point of suicide? How about how they treat gay people in Saudi Arabia? They execute them by throwing off a tower. Yes gay people are being murdered for being who they are!

So quit comparing the two, it ain't the same fight
You can play straight, we can never play white
Using black people as pawns for yo' agenda

·         Yes you are right these two fights aren’t exactly the same. But what makes them both common and why it’s possibly being brought up is that both were seeking similar goals, equality! During the Civil Rights Movement many have fought to get service and be treated like human beings. The LGBT Movement is the same thing, to be treated like everyone else. We have to pay taxes like everyone else so we should have the same rights and benefits as everyone else. There’s no agenda, just people wanting to live their lives and not be discriminated against. I don’t understand what you don’t get.

And these sell out rappers will do whatever you tell 'em
Skirts on stages, campaigning for that black vote
Afraid to be blackballed, so they play that role

·         Clothes don’t have a gender, and it’s utterly pointless to try to validate that. If you want to wear a dress then wear a fucking dress. It’s not hard and it’s really none of your business if someone decides to do so. Blackballing is a rejection in a traditional form of secret ballot, where a white ball or ballot constitutes a vote in support and a black ball signifies opposition. Not sure what this has to do with anything or the fact that these skirt wearing rappers fear rejection from anyone for not wearing a skirt. I want to say this is all made up? Besides gender bending fashion is starting to gain traction and there’s nothing wrong with it.

You were never oppressed, the devil was a liar
The only thing oppressed was yo' sexual desire
Keeping yo' desires oppressed is so lame to you
But when you get married, that's what you expect yo' mate to do

·         Denying marriage equality and basic human rights was the just lie the devil spewed out? We aren’t putting this on the people who actually enforced the discriminatory laws. We’re putting this on the devil? Religion does oppress you sexually by saying that having urges that makes you human are wrong. Having sexual desires between you and your partner is the right thing to do or with anyone who reciprocates those urges back. I mean it’s not hard at all. Secondly yes you would expect the person you are dating or married to would want to have sex with you; otherwise what’s the point of being in a committed relationship or being married if you aren’t satisfied sexually with that person?

It angers you if I compare you to a pedophile
Cause he sick, right?
And you're better how?
(Man, I ain't choose this)
You think he chose that?
(But I was born this)
Well prove he wasn't born that
But you were never a girl
He was once nine, so at one time in his life it was just fine

·         You’re comparing pedophilia to people being gay? I don’t get where you’re going with this at all. Two people (consenting adults at that) in a loving relationship, compared to someone that messes with children. I’m not seeing how the two even correlates with each other.

What makes your laws right?
I'm not buying it
So put 'em in that same trash can you threw that bible in
See how that cycle is?

·         I am so over people using their religion as a weapon to discriminate against other people. Especially if those people did nothing to be discriminated against. You can have your religion and your god but please stop with this nonsense! I don’t agree fine. You don’t agree fine. Can we please just move the fuck on and let people live their lives peacefully.

Nobody wants to repent of they evil
So we all try justifying it
And you say it's about rights, but you lying though

·         It is about having equal rights! It’s also about two people wanting to be in a loving relationship and be left the fuck alone. There’s no reason someone needs to repent or should be called evil if all they are doing is trying to live their life with the person they love and care about.

Domestic partnerships gave you rights a long time ago
God created marriage, when he did, he defined it though
So why is it you want what He created, but deny Him though?

·         First of all god didn’t create marriage we did. We can redefine marriage to include both ‘straight’ and ‘gay’ people. It is unconstitutional to deny basic human rights to anyone on the grounds of religion and it is also against the law to discriminate against anyone who doesn’t deserve it. You cannot use your god as a means to justify your hate and at this point it’s clear that you are set in your own mindset. Sad really.

It's not wicked enough, switching the definition?
You want it done by a Christian in a church he worships in?

·         There are Gay Christians who want to be married in church also. Why can’t these people get married in a church if that’s what they choose? Government funded institutes cannot deny people a service. Yes, if that pastor feels that he can’t do his job then let someone else perform that job. It is not your place to stick your nose in other people business. It is not wicked and it is not switching definitions, it is simply allowing two people who love each other (who so happen to be of the same-sex) the same rights as everyone else. I feel like a broken record here.

And that rainbow you using as a gay pride symbol
It represents a covenant with God if you didn't know
Check Genesis 9:13 for the info

·         The same rainbow represents something very horrifying? You remember that flood when god killed every living thing on earth? Yeah, god created a rainbow in the aftermath of the horrific flood. Yes because nothing says love better than a rainbow that occurred after a mass genocide killing every living thing on the face of the earth. That’s what people want to remember when they see a rainbow, not two people in a loving relationship but genocide! Got it!

Homie, the war is spiritual, you don't know what you in for
I ain't sayin' yo' sin's worse, but it is sin though

·         Sin isn’t real. It’s just a manmade concept used to control people.

The Lord took the punishment for it all on Him though
We just gotta repent though

·         Your god created this fucked up world and knew it would be fucked up, and instead of fixing it before it became fucked up he let it happen. I don’t care if you worship whatever god you choose but don’t you dare tell me I should worship a god that does the things he’s done. Your god if anything needs to repent for how fucked up humanity is and sending a scapegoat (Jesus) doesn’t count either. It’s completely stupid to be honest.

The problem is if you don't call it sin
Then you walk as if there's nothing to repent for

·         The problem is that it is not sin! Sin does not exist!!! Secondly, you are trying to shame people for being attracted to the same-sex and that is wrong. It’s one thing if it was a child then yes that is wrong and the law protects the child. However, two consenting adults wanting to be in a loving relationship and be treated like everyone else isn’t a sin and shouldn’t even be a question. Basic human rights!

Let's recap:
We all wicked and desire sin
But imagine a world where no one kept there desires in
If something was called right, simply cause we desired it
When yo' right goes against my right, who's right would win

·         SIN DOESN’T EXIST!!! Now that we’ve got that out of the way. Are you referring to gay people just wanting to live their lives normally? Like I’ve said before that really isn’t a sin at all. I can imagine a world where people lived their lives peacefully and differences in opinion wasn’t meat with hatred and disgust. You can wear your opinion but the moment you enforce that onto other people, that’s when it becomes a problem.

As for being born that way
I should never see ya'll
Ever see use a word like retard
To describe someone who was born a little differently than we are
I guess down syndrome really isn't a thing ya'll
What do we call yo' syndrome?

·         Do you know what Down syndrome is? Well let me explain, someone who has Down syndrome was born with an extra chromosome. How the fuck can you compare that to being gay? Being gay is not an illness and shouldn’t be treated as such!

Oh, that term is offensive now when it hits home?
So what gives you the right to call the way he was born a defect?
I call yours a defect, you feel it's disrespect

·         You are being disrespectful! People with Down syndrome didn’t choose to have it. Just like gay people didn’t choose to be gay! What don’t you understand?! This is awful!

You don't believe in God?
Hey, the universe says if we all gay
We either die off or have to do it God's way
And God loves you no matter what you struggle with
At least struggle though, don't just give up and quit
Forget how you were born
We were all born in sin
But Christ died for your sin
You can be born again
We were all born in sin
But Christ died so that we can be born again

·         HOLD THE FUCK UP! You cannot wish the gay away. You cannot pray the gay away. You are born with your sexual orientation and that’s beyond anyone’s control! If god hated gay people so much why the fuck did he created gay people in the first place! GOD CREATED THIS FUCKED UP WORLD THAT IS FULL OF SO CALLED SIN! I’m really trying hard to hold it together here but these lyrics are just awful. You really are trying to push your religious propaganda here. Thanks to Adam and Eve we were born with sin which is the most fucked up logic ever; also Christ didn’t die for our sins because he doesn’t exist.

And I never want to act like
All gay people are the same because that's ignorant

·         Yes it is very ignorant to say that all gay people act the same. It’s like saying all black people act the same and all white people can’t dance. Everyone is not the same and to categorize everyone into that one category and say you are all the same is very ignorant and discriminatory.

But at the same time
What I won't allow you to do
Is paint this beautiful picture

·         Why can’t someone paint the picture of the life that they desire to live? I can understand if this lifestyle is harmful to other people, such as murdering and theft. Society cannot function properly if they have to constantly fear for their lives just walking down the street. Now, however this is just gay people wanting to live their peacefully with the person they love. You cannot force people to marry someone they don’t love and it isn’t fair to want someone to marry someone they don’t love. Would you marry a man? How about if I forced you to? Yes, exactly that’s the same logic you are using. It’s completely dumb!

Like we don't have people from the LGBT community out here
Running up in churches, disrupting services

·         What people of the LGBT Community are out here running into churches and disrupting services? You know there are people in the LGBT Community whom are also Christian right? Secondly, once again a Christian playing the victim card. You don’t play it well because the oppressor cannot be the oppressed.

Kissing on the pulpit
Out here attacking old ladies
Throwing crosses down and stomping em'
Violently assaulting people

·         So not only are people in the LGBT Community breaking into churches and causing havoc, but they are making out on the pulpit as well? Are they having orgies too? I’m pretty some of the sexually oppressed would’ve been very entertained by the notion of this occurring. Throwing crosses to the ground and stomping on them? How dare they insult your religion! I mean come on not the cross! Attacking old ladies and violently assaulting people? Last time I checked people in the LGBT Community were fighting for equality but not attacking people, especially old ladies. Do you have any sources? I mean I can’t take you serious throwing out bullshit like this!

So don't take my most aggressive lines that you know are to that group
And try to apply it to the friendliest
Loving gay person because that's not the case

·         What you are saying is that I should still judge someone based off something that was beyond their control? Because this is their fault how? Please explain to me how! Did you choose to be attracted to women because if you say yes and that’s what god wanted of you then you are a bigger idiot than you already making yourself out to be.

And to that struggling Christian right now
Struggling with homosexuality
Fight the good fight soldier
No matter what anybody says
We all have different desires
We all are drawn toward different sin
And my desire might not be your desire
But I have a desire that's just as strong for another sin
And I have to fight it day in and day out
And sometimes I win and sometimes I lose
Sometimes I stand and sometimes I fall
But fight the good fight
God is worth it
God bless you
No hate about it
I love you

·         No you don’t! You don’t know what love is because if you did you would understand what you are saying is complete and utter horseshit! You should not have to suppress who you are and you shouldn’t have to hide your feelings for another man/woman. It is perfectly natural and normal to have feelings for someone of the same-sex. You can love both! The only fight here is people like you telling other people how to live their lives. Let people be happy and live their lives peacefully with the person they love. Two consenting adults having consenting sex in the privacy of their own home has nothing to do with you! WHY DON’T YOU UNDERSTAND THAT? IT’S NOT FUCKING HARD!!!!!!! I really don’t understand what the big fucking deal is about letting gay people be happy and be gay.

Christian thinks Atheists are funny (stupid)

Atheists are fighting against something they don't believe exists. It's like writing blogs against Caspar the Friendly Ghost or Bilbo Baggins. Why would you bother?

Okay, so we’re playing the ‘put all atheists in one box’ game? Well, Christians might sound like this. ‘We don’t have to prove to you god exists. You have to prove to us that god doesn’t exist.’ (Now that we’ve got that out of the way) I personally don’t know of any atheists that are going out of their way to speak against god. However, we will defend our lack of belief when we feel that we are being attacked which is (majority of the time) Christians wanting to force their beliefs down other people’s throats. I do have a problem with it and I will call you out on your bullshit, because sometimes it has to be done.

Atheists spend more time writing on Christian blogs than they do on their own. Why fuel a nonexistent fire?

That is not true! Well I’m a bad example of this.

You Christians love to play the victim card. I’ll admit I do go onto Christian Websites and respond; but that’s because 99.9% of the time the websites I go onto are in full fledge attack mode against atheists. We have no morals, our lives are meaningless and we are savage wild animals looking to attack poor innocent Christians. Again, the only people fueling the fire are you Christians because (we) atheists don’t want to participate in your cult of a religion.

Show us actual evidence your god exists and we will surely change our minds. (And I don’t mean show me the bible or the look around you fallacy.)

Atheists love to act intellectual until you catch them doing something illogically and then they scream profanities cause that's really intellectual.

Really, atheists love to sound intellectual? This is coming from someone who thinks there are talking snakes. A burning bush spoke to Moses. A man was swallowed by a whale and lived in its stomach for three days. Noah and his family repopulated the earth. People just pop into existence from dirt and bones. The world is only 6,000 years old and was created in only six days. A magical boat carried two of every species on the planet. Yes! You are so right, that sounds so much more intellectual than anything us atheists have to say.

Atheists have the word theist in their name. Every time they say who they are they call attention to God.

The term atheism originated from the Greek ἄθεος (atheos), meaning "without god(s)", used as a pejorative term applied to those thought to reject the gods worshiped by the larger society.

The term was actually thrown at people who refused to participate in a religion that is all based on blind faith. You can’t see god. You can’t see heaven and there is actually no proof of almost all of the claims in the bible. It’s almost like the bible and religion were manmade concepts used for control.

Atheists condemn all that's wrong with Christianity and yet cannot produce one work of art, literature or sacrificial deed done in the name of atheism. Even they realize it's not worth dying for.

Stephen Hawking, Alan Turing, Rosalind Franklin (to name a few) might have something different to say about that.

Christianity has a very violent and downright awful history. You cannot ignore it because even your holy text goes into detail about the things that people have done in the name of your god. No ideology is worth killing or dying for.

Atheists only believe in what their senses tell them unless its Darwin telling them things that happened billions of years ago, then they have more faith than a Catholic at First Communion.

I can say, ‘Christianity is all based on blind faith. Its followers are prone to getting mad when they’re whole belief system is questioned.’

Do you know why we have more faith in Darwin? Well, I wouldn’t use the word ‘faith’, but Darwin has provided proof that could be tested scientifically. Your bible does have some historical locations but that’s it. I still have yet to see a talking snake and we have yet to see traces of penguins and polar bears making the long journey from Antarctica to the Middle East to get on a magic boat.

Atheists believe in science unless the scientists believe in God, then they denounce the scientist and call him a moron.

The moment someone becomes an atheists, you Christians immediately condemn him to hell and label him a Devil Worshipper.

Secondly, most scientists who actually go into research to discover if god does exist always comeback an atheist.

We atheists don’t discredit any scientists that believe in god. It’s actually quite the opposite, we want to know if a god does exist and we constantly ask the question. Where is the proof? We can’t believe something based off blind faith, that’s not how it works. We have to have actual empirical data to suggest that this deity really does exist. Maybe god can just I don’t know reveal himself to the world and end this debate? It’s like god is playing both sides of the debate, or maybe he’s too embarrassed because what we think he is and what he actually is two differ notions.

Maybe he really just doesn’t exist at all!

Atheists believe in their fellow man, unless their fellow man believes in God, then they denounce their fellow man and call him a moron.

I don’t know any atheists that go out of their way to call Christians or any religious person a moron. Secondly, your religion is moronic because it’s all blind faith. You can’t see god. You can’t touch god and you can’t talk to him because he’s not real!

However, if this is what you believe and you find comfort in it. I’m totally fine with that. I won’t judge you or call you a moron. However, it becomes a problem when you try to enforce your religion onto me. I may not believe what you believe and that’s fine. We have a difference in opinion in one shape or another. No one gives a flying fuck about your religion.

I actually denounce anyone who thinks that it’s okay to judge others who aren’t harming anyone.

Atheists believe in the great free-thinkers of the past like Andrew Flew unless they change their mind and become theists then they denounce them and call them morons.

I wouldn’t say we denounce them, to be honest we don’t denounce anyone who believes in god. Atheists respect those who believe and only want to respect in return. It’s when religious people think that we need to believe what they do and get mad when we don’t want to.

You’re obsessed with name calling. I don’t know many atheists that go out of their way to call people morons and denounce them. I know plenty of Christians that do this.

Atheists don't believe in morons unless they are atheists and then they embrace them and call them intellectuals.

I know a lot of Christians that only associate with Christians. They all gather every Sunday and worship their deity. While other people choose to just be individuals and free-thinkers, those are the real morons? No! I wouldn’t dare call anyone who worships a deity that refuses to reveal himself, judges others and wants you to murder innocent people. I would never!

Road trip with Ford Explorer Sport

Sitting in a rental car lot for any car enthusiast is like sitting in a panic room. Well, not really but the thought of getting a crappy basic vehicle does make the whole experience rather daunting, more than necessary. The main objective of renting a car was to get the most efficient vehicle I could find, one that would hopefully get me from Southside of Chicago to West Dundee with the least amount of fuel used possible and having decent driving dynamics too. After all most of the journey would be on the highway and a small econobox wouldn’t be much fun unless it were evenly balanced in horsepower to weight ratio.

First selection option was a Nissan Altima with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder with 182hp and estimated 39 miles to the gallon on the highway. This seemed like a very decent choice even though the 2008 Nissan Altima (same engine) I’ve tested in the past had a very float-y ride comfort and steering that was more disconnected from feedback than a Toyota. Sadly, that option quickly became unavailable and the next option was a Hyundai Santa Fe. First thing that popped into my mind was a Santa Fe Sport with a 2-liter turbocharged four-cylinder 240hp and all-wheel-drive. Fuel economy wouldn’t even be close to the 39 miles to gallon estimate that the Altima had but it would be near thirty which was still good for a 50 mile journey.

The same fate also occurred with the Santa Fe it was not available. I became even more worried that I wasn’t going to even get a compact Chevy Cruze at this point because somehow I’ve been straddled from a mid-sized to a crossover. Eventually it became clear that I was going to get something even more illogical for the road trip when the clerk walked back and asked me if the Ford Explorer were fine? I said with a big sigh, “yes that’s fine”; even though at the back of my mind I knew that this crossover was going to be a gas guzzler and totally illogical for just two people. But a free triple upgrade is better than no car at all.

I’ve driven my fair share of large vehicles and the large seven-seat crossovers are the ones that seem the most daunting to drive. It almost felt like I was driving a short bus. I didn’t mind the fact that it is a larger vehicle and the road feel was very different. It didn’t take long to get comfortable behind the wheel and the infotainment system wasn’t a mess like the previous Explorer with a sea of buttons and controls that were very confusing to navigate. It was a pretty decent design on the inside with comfortable front seats and heated steering wheel. Visibility wasn’t even an issue at all; it was very easy to see out of at all angles. I was still wishing that I had the Altima though because of the more efficient engine.

Once I arrived at home and began packing up the Explorer I was quickly reminded of how much easier it is to load a larger vehicle. The third row seats both folded down at the press of a button and even the boot opens with the wave of your foot under the bumper. It seemed that the Explorer extra little luxury features was winning me over, despite me wanting to hate this vehicle so much.

The road trip started off with a huge grin on my face because as the 3.5ecoboost engine fired up. I could feel that I was in for a real treat. A real treat as in a turbocharged six-cylinder pumping out 365hp and 350lb-ft torque; easily one of the most powerful engines I have ever driven. Flexibility on this engine is very good. It’s smooth around town and when you feel like passing people on the highway there’s tons of torque when needed for that extra kick in the pants before the turbo kicks in and you really feel the power push you into the back of your seat. These are very uncommon traits for a seven-seat vehicle. Hell this is very uncommon for a Ford even.

The first leg of the journey flew through smoothly with mostly free flowing traffic and not much slowing down and stopping. Picked up my passenger and began the long journey to West Dundee. The commanding view of the road is why I love crossovers so much and the Explorer Sport really did shine. It didn’t feel like I was going to topple over or roll over when I turned the wheel too hard, the electronic stability control made sure that I didn’t do anything too stupid. Plus the all-wheel-drive ensured I had enough traction where I needed it the most.

The second leg of the journey we experienced mild stop/start traffic that only increased the closer and closer we approached the Eden’s Junction. Once we passed Harlem the traffic opened up tremendously and I was once again able to really enjoy the 3.5ecoboost engine. It doesn’t feel like it has such massive horsepower figures until you put your foot down and the turbo kicks in. It was almost like driving a sports car in the form of a seven-seat crossover. Steering feedback isn’t as sharp as a BMW X5 and some of the materials in the interior are a hit or miss at best. The touch screen infotainment system is far less fiddly than prior and was so much easier to use than that of more expensive options. I didn’t get the chance to use the navigation system but it wasn’t needed seeing that our route only involved one highway.

Road noise wasn’t much of an issue but some wind buffeting could be heard around the side mirrors and of course being that the Explorer is more on the boxy side it felt as if we were being blown about by the crosswinds. We wished that Ford developed a system similar to Mercedes crosswind stability control; this would’ve taken some of the woes out of the driving experience during unusually high winds.

Parking and maneuvering the Explorer isn’t as daunting as it looks. The parking camera really does come in handy. We do however the parking sensors can be quite sensitive, especially when the car behind us was nowhere as close as the sensors were screaming. The headlights in auto mode take a while to activate when in a tunnel, which we found weird because as soon as you exit the tunnel the lights shut off immediately.  We also disliked the long wait for the hands free boot opening, which seems to be about average with most of these systems.

Road trip summary: The Explorer is very comfortable and refined for the price. The engine offers plenty of flexibility and is smooth at low speeds. The driving position offers excellent seating comfort and the interior is eye appealing, even though in some areas it still feels lackluster. Overall the Explorer Sport is a great option among the heavy hitters, but for those who want the most bang for their buck you really can’t go wrong here. It is a package worth considering.

Average MPG: 19 mpg
Running costs: $40
Miles driven: 160 miles

Likes: Handsome looks inside out. There’s plenty of space for seven people. The 3.5ecoboost engine is so smooth and refined. The standard kit list is actually quite good.

Dislikes: The interior is a hit or miss in quality for some areas. Steering could use more feedback.

Let's talk about Islam

"Kill the unbelievers wherever you find them." Koran 2:191

Murder anyone who isn’t a believer in Allah. This presents a huge problem because not everyone has even heard of Allah or the religion of Islam. Does this mean that people who aren’t believers should die? There are roughly 4,200 religions in the world, how do you know that your religion is the right one; also how can you say your holy text doesn’t promote violence? It’s clearly saying kill those who don’t believe!!

"Make war on the infidels living in your neighborhood." Koran 9:123

Infidels: a person who does not believe in religion or who adheres to a religion other than one's own.

Religion does teach you to spread the word of the holy text to everyone, but this is taking that to another level. You can’t go around making war and promoting violence against anyone whom doesn’t want to follow your religion; also calling someone an ‘infidel’ because they don’t want to adhere to your religion isn’t showing any kind of love, tolerance and peace. It’s quite opposite to be exact.

"When opportunity arises, kill the infidels wherever you catch them." Koran 9:5

This is completely fucked up on so many levels. First, you have to seek out people in your neighborhood who aren’t practicing the religion of Islam and wage war against them. Then when the opportunity arises you should kidnap them and kill them? You have to be literally fucking insane to think that this is a socially acceptable thing to do! Secondly, opportunity arises to kill someone how? What the fuck does that even mean!

"The Jews and the Christians are perverts fight them."... Koran 9:30

Doesn’t this sound so familiar? Christians calling all people in the LGBT Community ‘perverts’ and now Islam Extremist calling all Christians and Jews ‘perverts’. I don’t think any of you understand what the definition of a pervert is.

Pervert is a person whose sexual habits are not considered acceptable.

Two consenting adults having consensual sex aren’t ‘perverted’. However, an adult trying to have sex with a child would be considered perverted. Rapists are perverted as well, are there examples of these in all groups? Yes, but to label everyone ‘perverted’ is just plain dumb. You can disagree with someone’s ideology but insulting them like this isn’t making matters any better.

"Maim and crucify the infidels if they criticize Islam" Koran 5:33

You can’t say anything bad about Islam or else you will be injured to the point your wounds will never heal properly, or you will be killed. Kind of like throwing rocks from a glass house isn’t it? You can call Jews and Christians ‘perverted’ but if they say anything bad about your religion it becomes such a severe problem that results in irreversible injuries and/or death. This is truly a religion of peace.

"Punish the unbelievers with garments of fire, hooked iron rods, boiling water melt their skin and bellies." Koran 22:19

I find it quite disturbing that some people think that Islam is a religion of peace. So far all I’ve been told is that I must seek non-Islamic followers and bash their heads in and/or kill them if they say anything bad about my ideology or don’t want to follow it. Such a peaceful way to promote your ideology: if I don’t agree with it. Don’t want to follow it. I will be brutally attacked and possibly killed. Almost like religion is based off someone’s personal opinion rather than the opinion of an actual god.

"The unbelievers are stupid urge the Muslims to fight them." Koran 8:65

Non-believers and non-followers of Islam must be sought out like wild animals. War must be waged against them; they must be brutally attacked and/or killed. What the fuck is peaceful about any of this? I’m not entirely sure which is more stupid, the author of the holy text or the individuals who think that it’s okay to do exactly what the text says.

"Muslims must not take the infidels as friends." Koran 3:28

Religious arrogance, you don’t befriend anyone who isn’t following your religion or ‘infidels’. Actually I don’t see how you’d befriend anyone who isn’t following your religion when you have to wage war against them, brutally attack them and/or kill them. Last time I checked people don’t befriend people who want to force their religion down their throats and throw violent threats at them. That’s more like an enemy than a friend.

"Terrorize and behead those who believe in scriptures other than the Qur'an." Koran 8:12

Terrorize, wage war, attack and murder. These are not acts of peace. They are acts of violence.

"Muslims must muster all weapons to terrorize the infidels." Koran 8:60

These scriptures are clear proof that Islam isn’t a religion of peace. There is nothing peaceful about terrorizing people and brutally attacking them for not adapting your ideology. Islamophobia is a dangerous path and yes I understand, but the point I am trying to make here is simple. If your ideology tells you that it is okay to harm other people for not sharing your point of view, you seriously need to consider a new one. It is not okay in any way shape or form to harm others for having a different view point, especially if their view point doesn’t involve harming other people.

Religion can be used as a weapon and that weapon can be very dangerous. It's not okay to threaten someone or wage violence against someone in the name of your religion. It's one thing if someone is harming other people and you take a stand against them; however it becomes a huge problem when you instead wage violence against those who don't believe what you believe; that's a communist way of thinking and that should never be socially acceptable.
