Lost in their own dimension

After a successful 2006 album "Black Holes and Revelations". The British Alternative Rock Band decided to take a three year hiatus. Now after a three year absence the band is back. With a new album called 'The Resistance'. The message is still clear in this album. "They will not force us" and all those other apocalyptic messaged songs. Sounds like the Muse we know right? Unless you're a die hard fan this album will disappoint you. "Uprising" seems almost like a rip-off of Blondie "Call Me". "United States of Eurasia" comes off rather preachy and "Bohemian Rhapsody" sounding. As well as "Guiding Light", which seems like a reject U2 song. But this isn't all a bad thing, most of the songs on this album are more catchy compared to their last album. Maybe Muse has finally comeback down to earth? Exploring black holes and being different is fine. But this can only be stretched so far. With 'The Resistance', Muse has taken a step into direction that has a sound you'll either love or hate.
