January 8, 2013: Prospects #35-31 are reviewed in the 2012 MLB Prospects Review. We take a look at the following players: two CFs who are competing for starting gigs in 2013; a prospect who has been traded twice in the span of 2 and a half months; 2 slugging 1B who seem to just need an opportunity in the Majors to display their power.

January 8, 2013: Prospects #40-36 are reviewed in the 2012 MLB Prospects Review. We take a look at the following players: 2 catchers, both all ready saw time with their Big League team, but only one will be serving a 50 game suspension in 2013; 2 shortstops, but teenagers, one plays for the Cubs, the other with the Indians; and we take a look at Dante Bichette's son, Dante who is still a teenager.

January 7, 2013: We discuss a few things on the NFL's Wildcard Weekend. Topics of discussion include: the Cincinnati Bengals and Marvin Lewis; a play that summed up the Vikings-Packers game; who is really responsible for an injured player to play the game or not?

We take a look at the following players: One of the prospects acquired by the Marlins from Toronto in a trade that sent Jose Reyes and others to Canada; a rivalry that stems from UCLA and a pair of highly touted, 2011 draft picks; A 3B who brings his glove, but might have forgotten his bat; A Padres 3B who will try to bounce back from a shoulder injury; an Orioles' OF who will try to bounce back from a very forgettable 2012.

December 28, 2012: NBA Random Thoughts: Vol, 3 is in the books as we take a closer look at the following: Dirk Nowitzki's performance against the OKC Thunder; the Avery Johnson firing; Dwight Howard getting fined for a flagrant foul and how much is Kobe Bryant affecting his psyche; an old and tired Celtics' squad gets embarrassed against an elite L.A. Clippers' squad. 

December 27, 2012: What looks to be a 5-part series, we take a look at current NBA players who fans would loathe to have on their pickup games' roster.  We start things off with showcasing the point guards who we wouldn't want to play with out in the streets.

December 21, 2012: Players #60-56 are reviewed in the 2012 MLB Prospects Review. We take a look at a Padres pitching prospect trying to bounce back from injury; a power-hitting catcher who was traded in the offseason; a Dodgers' prospect whose only crime is that he plays for the pitching-heavy Big League team; one of the last remaining Blue Jays' prospects; and possible #1 2013 MLB Prospect, Wil Myers.

December 21, 2012: Players #65-61 are reviewed in the 2012 MLB Prospects Review. We take a look at 5 total pitchers: two of them are giants; two more will be trying to make their respective big league clubs in 2013; one, Jarrod Parker, is already pitching in the Majors.

December 19, 2012: Players #70-66 are reviewed in the 2012 MLB Prospects Review. We take a look at a very promising Yankees' catcher; a couple of 3B Prospects who strike out too much; a promising Reds' pitcher who will need more time in the Minors; and yet another Cubs' bust in the making.

December 19, 2012: Players #75-71 are reviewed in the 2012 MLB Prospects Review. We take a look at one 26 year-old "prospect" who is running out of time to make an impact on his Big League team; a pitcher who has to transform into a relief pitcher just to have a chance to make Majors in 2013; a pitcher who actually closed games for his Major League team last season; and a very exciting outfielder who has inside edge to start in LF for his Big League club.

December 18, 2012: Six NBA games were played on Monday, December 17, 2012 and Felipe decides that it would be a good time to release the second edition of RANDOM NBA THOUGHTS. Among the topics of discussion: the Bulls and Grizzlies get into a defensive battle; Pekovic v. Vucevic; Paul v. Knight; the lack of intensity between the Spurs and Thunder; Our favorite past time--kicking the Kings while they're still down; and of course--Jeremy Lin returns to New York City!

December 18, 2012: Players #80-76 are reviewed in the 2012 MLB Prospects Review.  The Chicago White Sox are spotlighted and we take a look at a couple of young shortstops who took unexpected turns to their careers in the 2012 season--one showed patience, but was not called up to the Majors; the other SS did not show much patience, but was called up to help his team make the MLB Playoffs.

December 18, 2012: Players #85-81 are reviewed in the 2012 MLB Prospects Review. The Houston Astros are spotlighted and we have a couple of pitchers that combined to pitched in 24 games in the Majors last season.

December 11, 2012: Approximately one quarter of the season of the NBA is in and we take a quick look at the 6 games played on Dec. 10, 2012 in the first edition of RANDOM NBA THOUGHTS. Among the topics of discussion: breakout year of Evan Turner; The Golden State Warriors transformation into a winning team; The soaring Atlanta Hawks; The exhausted Houston Rockets; O.J. Mayo's resurrection; Amir Johnson's new claim to fame.

December 6, 2012: Players #90-86 are reviewed in the 2012 MLB Prospects Review.  This edition deals with one Major Leaguer in Jean Segura for the Milwaukee Brewers; 3 Starting Pitchers who have a long way to go before being called up; and Christian Yelich, probably the most exciting player of this bunch. 


December 6, 2012: Players #95-91 are reviewed in the 2012 MLB Prospects Review.  This edition deals with all infielders: three of them play for a team in Texas.  The other two players play for an AL East team.


December 4, 2012: Players #100-96 are reviewed in the 2012 MLB Prospects Review. We deal with 2 pitchers who have control issues and a certain Cubs' 3B who might be next in line in failed Cubs' Prospects at the hot corner. Meanwhile, the Atlanta Braves display their farm system depth. 



December 4, 2012: Players #105-101 are reviewed in the 2012 MLB Prospects Review. All of these players are pitchers and all of them have "future ace" written all over them, but who is more likely to make some noise in 2013?

December 3, 2012: Players #110-106 are reviewed in the 2012 MLB Prospects Review. We find out that Cleveland is the place where prospects go to die, two young pitchers who underwent shoulder surgery, and we try to control our excitement on Nationals OF, Brian Goodwin.

October 31, 2012: It's opening week in the NBA and Felipe has questions regarding the Derrick Rose-less Chicago Bulls vs. the talented, but enigmatic Sacramento Kings. 



January 29, 2012: In the second edition of our Curious Case of series, we take a look at the Penn State, child rape scandal and figure out exactly what Joe Paterno meant to college athletics and Penn State University.  We figure out that it was nothing at all as wins do not justify child rape.

January 15, 2012: In the first edition of our Curious Case of series, we take a look at the athletically gifted, but puzzling development of hybrid, NBA guard, Tyreke Evans.  In the midst of playing in his third NBA season, Evans is already on some sort of crossroads in his young pro career.

July 3, 2011: Part V of our coverage of the 2011 NBA DRAFT focuses on the first fifteen picks of the 2nd ROUND of the draft.  Felipe also takes a quick look at the most recent NBA drafts and how the pool of 2nd round talent has fared in the NBA since 2007.  Let's just say that if we were to compile a roster of 2nd round selections since 2007, Marc Gasol would be our franchise player.  Yikes!

June 28, 2011: The 2011 NBA DRAFT had some big trades and in Part IV, we focus on those trades and try to figure out how these deals will shape the clubs that were involved.  Why is John Salmons back in Sacramento?  Is Stephen Jackson an upgrade in Milwaukee?  How do Andre Miller and Ray Felton differ from each other?  Tough questions will definitely be answered. 

June 28, 2011: Part III of the 2011 NBA DRAFT is up and running as the last picks of the 1st round are reviewed.  Very interesting selections were made as many teams were able to select players that might actually help them fill a void on their respective rosters for the upcoming season. 

June 27, 2011: Part II of the 2011 NBA DRAFT Review showcases more collegiate players that fit better with the teams that select them and we also start sensing a pattern of the type of players that most NBA teams are looking in this draft.  Plus we take a look at a player that even ESPN's expert on foreign basketball players, Fran Fraschilla is not a big fan of.  Read on to find out who that player is.  



June 26, 2011: Felipe reviews the first 10 picks in Part I of Pathological Hate's coverage of the 2011 NBA DRAFT and concludes that the Cleveland Cavaliers and their fans will not soon forget about LeBron James, the Minnesota Timberwolves do not know what they are doing, and explains why history shows that foreign players are not worth selecting early in the draft.    

January 20, 2011: The Hometown Chicago Bears were ready to face the Green Bay Packers at Soldiers' Field for the NFC Championship, but Felipe had a lot of reasons to be scared and he lists his main reasons why the Packers were a major concern for this game.  Eventually, the Packers would win the Super Bowl.  We have a pathological hate for the Green Bay Packers.

July 8-31, 2008: A very long time ago, Felipe kept a diary of the 2008 NBA Draft.  Relive the draft that brought us Derrick Rose, Kevin Love, and Russell Westbrook.
